Hear ye! Hear ye! There is a spiffy-looking dance happening next month! If you're interested in going, let me know, and I'll get you in touch with the appropriate people. It looks like a lot of fun, and I'm seeing if we'll be allowed to go.

If you competed in the NCFCA in the 2006-2007 season, you and your family are invited to a Formal Dance to keep the community connected over the summer, say goodbye to our seniors and just have a great time. Please share this with anyone you know who competed during the previous season.

Details

Date: Saturday, July 21, 2007, from 1-5pm

Location: Crusader Hall at Redeemer Lutheran Church, located at 2215 Wahsatch Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80907 (where the social was on Wednesday night for Gold)

Attire: Formal attire is encouraged

RSVP: By July 7, 2007 with the number of people in attendance from your family. Each competitor can suggest two songs to be played during the dance. The final play list will be decided upon by the host family, but this will help us know what will please the crowd.

Other information: If you are not fond of dancing, come for the fun and fellowship. Each family is asked to bring a snack to share or $3 per person. Drinks will be provided.

So the decision has been made. Lydia, who wanted to go to the ball even more than I did (which is a lot), is up in Montana and won't be able to go anyway. Esther doesn't care to go, and another friend is having a birthday party that she'd really like us to attend, so the Tschappler girls probably aren't going. Have fun, all you dancing people!
